Building Hands-On Experience
The journey began in the early 2000s in Botswana, where a young technology enthusiast first discovered his passion by exploring an old computer and learning how technology worked.
That curiosity continued after moving to Australia, where he found an old computer in the family home in Orange and began experimenting, repairing, and understanding how systems operated.
As technology continued to evolve, he invested in new devices each year to learn, adapt, and stay ahead of the rapid changes shaping the industry.
Driven by a passion for technology, he went on to study Computer Science and began his career in web development as a Front-End Developer.
Over time, his interests expanded into cybersecurity, where he found a strong passion for protecting businesses, systems, and data in an increasingly connected world.
Industry Experience
His career then progressed into the IT industry, providing technical support and contributing to large-scale technology projects across a diverse range of industries, including mining, education, healthcare, tourism, retail, and automotive.
These experiences provided valuable insight into the unique technology challenges faced by organisations of all sizes and the importance of reliable, secure, and well-managed IT systems.
Building a Trusted Local Business
Mobile IT Mates was established to provide break-fix support, technology sales, and IT services for small businesses and individuals, while also delivering office fit-outs and technology deployments for larger organisations on behalf of their head offices.
Building on strong client relationships, the business expanded into managed IT services, helping small and medium businesses and non-profit organisations with proactive IT management, cybersecurity, and ongoing technical support.
IT Mates opened its first office on Grey Street in the heart of the New England region, strengthening connections with local organisations and supporting businesses and the wider community across Glen Innes and surrounding areas.
